Teaching Life Through Baseball
The goal of holistic baseball is to teach life through baseball. We believe that learning the game of baseball can be a powerful tool for learning life lessons that will carry on well beyond playing the game. With this vision in mind, is our goal to develop content, concepts and ideas that benefit players, parents and coaches in an effort to maximize the positive impact the game of baseball can have on communities, teams and players.
In addition to our newsletter, we will create content and services that focus on youth Player Development in a way that is positive, team centric and with a focus on baseball fundamentals and overall life skills.
8-Week Virtual Mentorship Program

Overview
This 8-week virtual mentorship program is designed to help young athletes develop a strong mental approach to the game of baseball. Throughout the program, players will gain valuable strategies to enhance their mindset, whether it’s refining their approach at the plate, overcoming challenges, or maintaining composure in high-pressure situations. With a focus on building confidence, resilience, and mental toughness, this program equips athletes with practical tools to improve their performance and handle the ups and downs of the game with a strong, focused mindset.
Program Details
Required Purchases: Each participant will be asked to purchase a copy of Heads Up Baseball by Ken Ravizza
Who: Open to all players ages 12-18
When: Weekly 1-hour Zoom sessions over 8 weeks
What's Included:
Weekly discussions on key mental skills (handling failure, staying focused, building confidence, etc.)
Real-life applications from John's experience playing Division 1 baseball
Small group breakout discussions for personalized mentorship
Guest appearances from current professional players and high-level college athletes
Cost: $300
Why This Matters
While many players prioritize physical training, few invest time in developing the mental skills that distinguish good athletes from great ones. Having experienced the game as both a player and a coach, John has seen firsthand how crucial the mental aspect is to success on the field. Yet, it remains one of the most overlooked areas in player development, particularly for young athletes.
